Design-led furniture supply specialist, Ralph Capper along with other brands of Extentia Group have completed the refurbishment of the Directors’ Suite, and fit-out of the Executive Boxes and Emerald Suite within the North Stand at Emerald Headingley Stadium.

The works form part of the £45 million redevelopment of the stadium, which is home to the Leeds Rhinos rugby league club, Yorkshire Carnegie rugby union club and Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

Alongside principle contractor Caddick Construction, Extentia Group’s subcontractor Styles&Wood, interior design specialist SpaceInvader, and design-led furniture supplier Ralph Capper, provided a full refit of 13 executive boxes, a banqueting suite, eight toilets blocks, corridors and the corporate reception, as well as internal finishes, including flooring, bespoke joinery and ironmongery.

Ralph Capper worked in close collaboration with the client at every step of the design journey – gaining a deeper understanding of their design visions, needs and aspirations. This included providing a design-led flexible furniture solution to allow the space to reconfigure for conferences and events, which also boasted panoramic views across both the cricket and rugby grounds.

Dean Pettit, Director of Ralph Capper, said:

“This project provided a unique opportunity within an iconic sporting stadium context for the Ralph Capper team to demonstrate our wide variety of interiors skills to deliver such high specification,  bespoke and tailored furniture solutions. It was a pleasure to work alongside such talented professionals and consultants and a client with such an ambitious vision.”

Leeds Rhinos Commercial Director Rob Oates said:

“This is the most significant refurbishment of the stadium since it very first opened in 1890, and we’re delighted with the results so far. Our partnership with Extentia Group has helped us to deliver new facilities of the highest quality, with the scale of our investment testament to the ongoing support of our fans.”
“We’re excited to have created a world class sporting venue, as we prepare to welcome the ICC cricket world cup and the Ashes to Headingley later this year and the Rugby League World Cup in 2021. The redevelopment has also boosted the city’s conference facilities and produced an iconic venue for every occasion.”
